ABOUT MEDITATION + MINDFULNESS

There a lot of definitions to what is mindfulness. One of the simplest definitions is bringing your attention to what is occurring in the present moment.
What you may ask next is how do we get there? It is my opinion that we get there through the path of meditation.

Meditation? That's another loaded word. Meditation is a practice that helps one connect with their breath. As we connect to our breath and we allow ourselves to become still, we have the potential of being aware of the present moment. Being in the present moment allows us to fully engage this life. When we are in the present moment, we are not lost in the past or worrying about the future. We are in the here and now.

Some of the meditations we would be practicing here would be guided meditation, sound and light meditation, tea meditation and silent meditation,
Some of the benefits that can come from this practice are: lower stress levels, decreasing anxiety, lower heart rate and blood pressure and better emotional health.
